We use AI tools to help draft content. Here is the plain-language version of what that means.

The short version

Content on Certified Water Labs is drafted with the help of AI tools and reviewed by a human before it is published. No page goes live on automated output alone.

How AI is used

  • Drafting: AI tools help research topics and produce first drafts of guides and page copy.
  • Human review gate: a human reviews every page before publication — for accuracy, usefulness, and honesty — and can reject or rewrite a draft.
  • Citation verification: factual claims in guides are checked against their cited sources before publication. Claims that cannot be verified against a source are removed.
  • Provider data: listing facts come from public records, not from AI generation. We never use AI to invent provider details, reviews, ratings, or credentials.

What we will not do

  • Publish AI output without human review.
  • Attribute content to fabricated human authors or invented credentials.
  • Use AI to generate fake reviews, testimonials, or provider claims.

Mistakes and corrections

AI-assisted drafting can still produce errors, and so can humans. If you spot one, use the contact form with the page URL — corrections are prioritized. Our broader standards are in the editorial policy.
